Security Cars
These vehicles generally are standard golfcars with one front seat, top canopy, rear cargo box and usually includes a vinyl enclosure with a rotating or flashing light on top of the canopy. However, we like to recommend a ‘lifted’ golf car that sits up 7-9” higher so people walking or in vehicles can see the flashing light better. Plus the security guard has better vision and therefore is more effective at their job.
Having said that, there are advantages of a 4 passenger golf car. Upon occasions, the security guard may spot a handicapped or elderly person struggling to make the walk to the door, so a polite gesture would be to offer assistance. The difference in the monthly rental rate or the purchase price between 2 and 4 passenger golfcars is minimal.
Another option is a custom golfcar which is alittle on the fancy side, but does come standard with a loud speaker system and optional ‘hard doors’ for inclimate weather.
